Screen recording can be done using VLC media player free. But many users do not know about its methods. So today we are explaining step by step method of recording the screen with the help of VLC media player. By doing this we can see our work or show others whenever we want later.

So far 67 of its programs have been launched. VLC 3.0.3 is the latest version of it. According to the Organization, so far it has been downloaded 2,607 million times on different platforms.



 

This is the step by step screen recording method:

Stepping way

Step 1 First open the VLC media player on your system.

Step 2 Now go to the Media menu and select ‘Open Capture Device …’ option. You can also choose this with the help of short cut Ctrl + C.

Step 3 Once you select it, a new window will open. In this new window, go to Capture Mode and select Desktop. Then go to the options section below to change the frame rate to 30fps or according to your needs.

Step 4 Now click on the drop down menu next to Play at the bottom and choose Convert from there. You can also select it by clicking Alt + O.

When step 5 opens a new window, click the front of the profile in the Settings section and select Video Format.

Step 6 Now click on the setting toggles made on the right side of the video format. Then in the new window select MP4 / MOV in Encaupsulation and then go to Video codec and select MPEG-4 and save it. You can also choose another codec according to your need.

Step 7 After that, the file destination must be selected at the bottom of the convert window. For this, you have to click on the browser given in front of the file destination.

Step 8 By doing so, the file explorer will be open. After selecting the folder and then typing the name of the file in the box named File name saved.

Step 9 Now start screen recording by clicking the Start button. After the screen recording starts, pause / stop done with the help of a pause / stop button given in the VLC media player.

After completing Step 10, close the VLC media player. Now the recorded file on your screen saved on the file location you choose.
