Nifty hits record high, Sensex crosses 37,000 for first time

The Sensex first crossed the 37,000 mark for the first time. Opening on Thursday at the record level of 36,928.38. During the business, it touched a high of 37,026.18. On the fourth day on Thursday, the Sensex made new records. This sixth record of the Sensex is high this month. It reached the highest level of January 29, reaching 36,699.53 on July 12. That day it was up to 36,443.98. The Nifty also reached the highest level of 11,179.60 till date. Its previous record in intra-day high level is 11,171, which it touched on January 29 this year.




Even in mid-caps and smallcap stocks, the market has gained momentum. The BSE mid-cap index rose by 0.54%. Smallcap index jumped 0.28%. Out of BSE, 15 out of 19 sector indexes are trading in the uptrend. Shares of 1,540 companies out of the 5,000 listed in the BSE were recorded. Nifty’s mid-caps -100 index jumped 0.19%. SBI’s shares increased by more than 2% Shares of Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, ITC and Adani Ports rose more than 1%.

Reasons for the rise in the market: domestic and foreign investors have been buying continuously for the past few days. Quarterly results of many companies including TCS and ACC have been better than expected. This has made the shopping environment in the market.
