UP: 9 coaches of New Farakka Express derailed in Rae Bareli, 7 killed
There was a major rail accident in Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning. A total of 9 bogies of New Farakka Express derailed in Harchandpur near Rae Bareli. In this accident 7 people died while many others injured. The Anti-Terrorism Squad is also going to investigate the incident.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Congress President Rahul Gandhi also expressed sorrow at the Rae Bareli train accident.
Let us tell you that Rae Bareli UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s parliamentary constituency is also there. It told that the train was going from Malda towards New Delhi. Only 9 bogies, including the engine, were derailed. This train was derailed at 50 meters from Harchandpur station.
On behalf of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the families of the dead announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh and assistance of Rs 50,000 to the injured. Apart from the state government, the compensation has also been announced from the Central Government. The Ministry of Railways has announced a grant of Rs. 5 lakh to the relatives of the deceased, Rs. 1 lakh to the critically injured persons and Rs. 50 thousand for minor injuries.
