Google pulled 85 apps: Dangerous for security reason, immediately deleted from your Phone
Google recently removed 85 such dangerous apps from your Play Store, keeping track of your information in the phone. These apps have been deleted from Google Play Store, but if you have downloaded these apps in the phone, then you have to delete them yourself. The 85 apps that were deleted, there was also a virus. These apps were running in the background of your mobile by showing fullscreen ad in your phone and keeping an eye on your phone’s unlocking function. According to media reports, these apps are part of a kind of spying application.
9 Million Times these apps have been Downloaded
According to Japan’s Cyber Security and Defence Company Trend Micro, these apps have been downloaded 90 million times from the Play Store. One of the apps ‘Easy Universal Remote’ has been downloaded 50 million times. This is the most downloaded app from the list of these 85 apps.
How they wok over our Smartphone
Once you download these apps in the phone and start using it, you initially see a full-screen pop-up ad. This add-on shows you as long as you do not turn it off by pressing the back button again and again. But in the meantime many different URLs are open. Then when you turn off after using this app, even though this app is running in the background and later pops-up in the device every nearly every half hour. While running in background, they monitor all the functions of your phone and can cause data leaks.
